Catherine Elizabeth "Catie" Kunde:
At 17 and a senior at El Molino High School, Catie is the proud
owner of Catie's Corner Vineyard. Her Viognier is under contract
to Christopher Creek, Coterie Cellars, Crushpad, Francis Ford Coppola, Joel Gott Wines, St. Francis, Thomas George Estate and Whetstone wineries. Catie is happy to
read her name on the labels as a vineyard designated Viognier.
Catie enjoys 4-H and loves showing her market lambs and Jersey heifers at the local fairs. Catie enjoys pruning the grapevines as part of her FFA Viticulture project.

Catie's Corner, named for the Kunde's
daughter, was first planted as a
registered rootstock increase block in
1988. The Richter 110 was budded to
Viognier in 1995; the Paulsen 1103
and Oppenheim SO4 was budded to
Pinot Noir in 1996. The Syrah was
dormant vines planted in 2000. Twenty acres was added to Catie’s Corner in 2007 with 10.31 acres of Chardonnay clone 17 and 6.34 additional acres of
Viognier.
